Are PVC patches waterproof?
Yes. PVC is molded rubber, so rain and mud do not fray it the way thread can. Outdoor brands, departments, and motorcycle clubs use PVC on bags and hats. 2D PVC is flat with molded color. 3D PVC is multi-level so you can feel the logo. Neither style uses a merrow thread border.
What backing works on PVC?
Order Velcro hook, Velcro loop, hook-and-loop, sew-on, sticker, or a safety pin. Iron-on is not typical because heat can damage rubber. If you need iron-on apparel patches, use embroidered or woven instead.
