When do photo printed patches beat embroidery?
Use photo printed (dye sublimated) patches when the file is a photograph, a smooth gradient, or a logo with more shades than thread colors allow. The finish is smooth rather than raised. Memorial patches, event photos, and full-color brands are common uses.
Backing, borders, and time
